The fasting & feasting banner draws attention to the congregation’s Advent discipline. Working within their own special health needs, individuals fast or eat less one day a week during the holiday season and offer the money saved as a special donation to address the root causes of hunger and poverty. The loaves and fishes on the banner remind us that Jesus fed 5,000 with five loaves and two fishes.
