Dear Fellow Healers,
In our past year of working, playing, and praying together, we as a congregation tried some new approaches and activities and explored what it means to live as healers in a broken world. Those of us on the Stewardship Team are grateful for all the ways each and every one of you joined in this effort. As this year nears a close, it is right to pause and give thanks for all that God has accomplished through us. But our work of healing is far from complete.
We each know that there are aspects of our own lives that need healing, and we are certainly conscious of the way society and the world around us need healing. This is God’s ongoing work, and God depends on our hands to accomplish this work.
We have been both tasked and gifted with the opportunity to share in this work. As single individuals, our ability to help may be limited, but as the church, our effect can be much greater. To function, the church—we as the body of Christ—needs both our financial support and our personal involvement at whatever level each of us is able to provide. Think about the many ways you have been blessed this past year, and then consider the world’s needs and God’s call to you.
Please use the enclosed 2022 form to make a commitment of your time, talents, and treasures. You may wish to refer to the stewardship calculator to help you plan your financial commitment: www.lchwelcome.org/life/stew-calc.html. If you prefer to give directly from your bank account, please use the enclosed Electronic Funds Transfer Form to begin the process or modify your current giving amount or schedule.
We ask that you return your commitment form to the church (you may bring it, mail it, or scan and email it to commitments@lchwelcome.org) before Sunday, November 26, when we will be dedicating them in worship.
We are a small congregation, and yet, spirit-filled, we have proven that we can accomplish great things together when we allow God to lead us. We look forward to continuing to work with you, hand in hand, as God’s church in and for the healing of the world.
Your Stewardship Team: Pam Buckley, Willow Chang, Phyllis Hörmann, Barbara Poole-Street, Bill Potter, and Cindy Scheinert
