What's Happening...
Bach’s cantatas are remarkable for their ability to unite sacred texts with beautiful poetry and sublime music. With the Cantata Project, we continue this tradition by supporting the creation of new church cantatas written by today’s most creative voices. Our first venture is Robinson McClellan’s Trinity Dancing Cantata on a libretto by Australian poet Robin Muir-Miller. The cantata appears within the traditional Lutheran liturgy for Vespers alongside a full service of other recent works that continue our shared and ancient tradition of sacred music.
