Time after Pentecost • Lectionary 21—August 26, 2018
Preacher: Intern Pastor Andy Flatt-Kuntze
Summary: Some of you prayed during the recent hurricane, and some of you pray at other times. You pray for different people and different things. We’ll pray now for the whole congregation, and I hope you’ll pray often.

Time after Pentecost • Lectionary 20—August 19, 2018
Preacher: Intern Pastor Andy Flatt-Kuntze
Summary: We have our picnic blanket, plates, and cups, so we’re all ready for a picnic. You say there’s no food? I’ll get some. Who else should we invite? In our first lesson today, Wisdom has a big party and invites everyone to join. In the same way, we invite everyone to share the communion banquet we celebrate each week

Time after Pentecost • Lectionary 19—August 12, 2018
Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: In our first lesson, Elijah is all tired out after trying to get people to follow God and being chased by the queen, so he tells God he wants to die and goes to sleep. When he wakes up, God has left food, so he eats it and is able to travel for a long time. God feeds us every week in communion because there is lots of work for us to do spreading God’s love

Time after Pentecost • Lectionary 18—August 5, 2018
Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: In last week’s Gospel, Jesus fed 5,000 people, and now this week they are asking Jesus for a sign. We see signs all around that tell us what today. The cross is a sign for us to belive in God and love one another, and the bread of communion is a sign that God loves and feeds us.
